New Menu At Figaro's

Diners love long relaxed dinners which allow them to experience a variety of tastes. Figaro’s at the Village Hotel at Spier is known for its dedication to fine dining and now, just in time for season, Dalida Hugo, the new Village hotel head chef,  has refreshed the menu with a series of tempting dishes.

Trends in hospitality demand that menus cater to every palate and Figaro's new offering ensures that no one will leave unsatisfied. From mouth - watering roast loin of lamb to fresh, healthy regional trout and beyond, to several interesting vegetarian options such as the vegetable strudel, Figaro's has just one absolute rule: that each dish is as delicious as the last.

No menu is complete without tantalising desserts. And just in case guests can't make up their minds, there's the 'Indulgence' option that offers a small portion of each dessert to tempt the diners' tastebuds.

Figaro’s, with its beautiful terrace with views to the Helderberg Mountains, is also a place to enjoy sundowners in a tranquil atmosphere. Light lunches and a sinful afternoon tea menu also give guests the chance to sample fresh regional dishes.

The Conference Centre Gets A Facelift

Spier's conference facilities were built in 1995 and have served as a premier facility for conferences and functions in the Winelands for the past 10 years. It has become a preferred venue for many events including team building, awards ceremonies, exhibitions and elegant dinner dances and even weddings.

During November the conference centre was earmarked for refurbishment. The process is almost complete and the entire centre once again looks fresh and welcoming, and ready for weddings and end - of - year functions which traditionally take place in December and January.During this process, the ceilings were revamped, the carpetsand curtains were replaced and  upgraded and the finishing touches included new coat of paint throughout the centre

The highly energised conference team, under the guidance of  General Manager, Hotel & Conferencing, Andrew Dietrich, is now ready to welcome all visitors into their new and improved environment - a confirmed four star graded venue with looks, style and authenticity.

New Management At Jonkershuis and The Spier Deli & Grill

Spier has outsourced the management of two of the estate's top restaurants. In October, a partnership deal was signed with the Kristensen Group who have taken over the day-to-day running of the Jonkershuis restaurant and the Spier Deli & Grill.

La Med, Quay Four, the Black Marlin, and Bertha’s in Simon's Town all fall under Kristensen's Western Cape umbrella.

Kristensen’s philosophy is driven by excellent service, fresh produce, superb wines, great atmosphere and memorable experiences in all of their restaurants.
